In a recent blog post I shared my desire to build a successful family business. It’s a dream of mine and one of the main reasons I desire this is to spend more time with my family.

I am sure as we grow and spend more time together it will get tough, but that is a tough thing that I am willing to deal with. It is a different mindset than many people have today when it comes to work, our marriages, and our families.

However, many years ago this was the norm. Our labor was typically in the form of a family business or at least work that was near to home. Business and work was a family affair. Then came the industrial revolution, and things haven’t been the same since.

I was doing some research on this and came across an interesting article with an accompanying video. Both share very interesting facts about this and discusses how Labor Day changed it forever. It is a thought-provoking intersection of Labor Day, Your Marriage, and Your Family.

Below is the video, you can also read the article, How Labor Day Changed Marriage and the Family Forever.
