A blog is a great way to show your authority within a specific niche as it lets you share everything that you want the world to know using your own tone and voice. It showcases who you are as a brand and as an expert, and can help mold your audience’s perception of you.
The biggest challenge in having your own blog however, is the fact that there is so much that you have to do to make your message reach your audience. No matter how easy it may be to create your own blog and publish your own work, there is no guarantee that people will immediately find it and start following your every post.
So how do you get more blog subscribers? These steps should help:
- Promote your own content. You can’t wait for people to find your blog postings, but you have to try to lead them to it. Social media is a huge help when it comes to this, as you can always share each of your posts on your social media profiles. You should make sure that your “About Me” sections on your social networks contain links to your pages as well, and invest in each social media platform’s advertising services as well. You can also try reaching out to influencers so they can check out your content, as their recommendation would surely send more traffic your way.
- Make it easy for people to subscribe. Another great way to get more blog subscribers is to streamline the way people can have access to it. Get rid of those long forms and complicated sign-up processes. Make your sign-up process a one-click deal, something that would only take a few seconds of your audience’s valuable time to complete.
- Make it consistent. You can’t publish content only when you feel like it or just when you have a bright idea come along. Have a regular schedule for posting so that your audience knows when to expect their next serving of relevant content. If you want to post industry news every Monday and have a special feature every Wednesday, then do that. You could always pre-plan most of your content so that you wouldn’t have a hard time sticking to your schedule.
- Allow people to comment. Don’t be afraid of feedback. Thrive on it. Allow people to post comments on your blog posts. Better yet, engage in conversation with them through the comments section. Reply to each comment and acknowledge everyone who took the time out to participate in the thread, regardless if their comments are positive or not.
With these tactics in place, it should be easier to get more blog subscribers for your pages.

As a blogger of 4+ years, I can attest that there is no overnight success with building a following. But hard work — and employing ALL of the tips from this post consistently — pays off over time.
I’d add one more thing I just found. You can actually submit your OWN posts to StumbleUpon, which enters it into that platform to be … well, stumbled upon … by people worldwide. The more people who find and “thumbs up” your posts, the more likely it will be for others to find and do the same. My blog traffic markedly increased after including this one easy step on each new post. Here’s the link, for anyone who’d like it:

Thanks, Reade, for another cool post.

Such a good post, Reade. In blogging I have found that consistency is the number one thing that drives traffic. Find what that sweet spot is for you and your audience and let them know when new informative posts will be available. When people know what to expect, they know they can trust you and buy in.

I say to you, I certainly get annoyed even as other folks think about concerns
that they plainly do not know about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and outlined out the
entire thing without having side effect , other folks could
take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
