It is our human nature to always want more and more. We think we could do better if we had more to work with. More time, more money, more relationships and the list goes on and on. But, what if you just began doing better with what you already have? I am sure there is growing room you could have with a certain area somewhere in your life, right?

Here are 3 reasons that you should stop looking for more and focus on what you already have:

1. Your family and friends need more of YOU.

I don’t care how busy you are. In the long run you will be much happier and healthier when your relationship with your family is where it should be. It seems like a natural pull between work and family time. My challenge to you is to find a way to be available and present with your family. In today’s work expectations, family isn’t usually a priority. Break that trend by keeping your family a huge priority and other things will fall into place.

2. The work that you already produce could be better.

This is just the facts. Instead of trying to come up with 10 new ideas, finish the 10 that you have already started. Make a pledge to put more in, so you will get more out of it.

3. Be remembered for your greatness, not your mediocrity.

Be known as someone who finishes with greatness. There are enough people out there that are doing things halfway. If you are going to attempt something, go big. There isn’t any other way to do it.

Think on those three reasons. If these points apply to your life, keep this in front of you and put a renewed focus in. Let this be your motivation, not your guilt trip. You have what you need. Stop looking for more. You have what you need. Put more time in and see what happens.

    • Thanks for sharing that article and great advice. I’m with you, too and sometimes I have to focus on the day to day. it’s the daily that makes up the big picture.
