People ask me a lot, “Are you a morning or a night person?”
My answer is always, “I’m a night person trying to become a morning person.”
Then that’s always followed with, “Why?”

Well, it seems that the most successful people are morning people. They are excited about the day and want to get a start at it, instead of waking up late and almost dreading the day.
I’ll give one example of a person that benefitted from waking up early.

George Washington

He rose early to write letters and journal. This is how we know so much about him. I mean he was a very successful dude. The list really goes on and on, but when I try to think of a ton of successful people that are known for staying up late, my mind draws a blank. Let me know if you can think of one.

I know some of you will disagree with me. I’m sure you’ve done tons of successful college work at 2am.
Again, my body wants to be up past midnight, but that’s an area I need more discipline in.

Anyways…

Are you a morning or night person?

  1. I like to wake up early and get stuff done, but I love to read and study late into the night. So I guess right now, I’m both?

You can probably imagine what this does to my sleep…
