Here is what I’ve been up to over the past few months:
On my podcast, Ideas, I’ve had guests sharing their wisdom. I hope that you’ve been able to check it out. I have 7 more episodes posting later on, so stay tuned.
To promote my latest book, The Bravest You, I’ve been doing a bunch of interviews. You can find those here:
CNBC | Forbes | Success Magazine | Investor’s Business Daily | Edge Magazine | Beyond the To-Do List | The Accidental Creative | Inspire Nation | The Anxiety Podcast | Daily Two Minutes of Greatness | The Self-Improvement Show | The Dr. Pat Show | CYACYL | Rich Dad Advisors | Leading with Imperfection | Insights from Authors | Inspiring Leadership Now | Curos | Microsoft Staff Picks (More coming soon)
The book even won a gold medal. I thought I’d have to learn how to run really fast or high jump to do that. Who knew?
I’ve been reading a lot of books, which you can check out over on Instagram. This is partly due to wanting to read more–especially biographies–and partly due to researching a new book idea.
I’ve been gearing up to coach a new class in the second quarter of 2018. If you are interested in finding out more details, or if you need business consulting, please email me at [email protected]. You can also email me at the same address to book me to speak at your next event. 2018 is filling up quick! (This will be the only time I advertise this, so if interested, please set a reminder to contact me before spots fill up.)
If you’ve ever watched my videos over on Youtube, then you know that I have also invested in a shoe company and own a shoe store, in addition to owning a coaching and consulting business. This not only allows me to serve my community, work with something I love, and provide a product and service that people need, but doing so allows me to consult other small businesses. (I feel like owning (a) business/es and actually running them to see what works is the only way to properly consult other businesses. Also, there’s something about a brick-and-mortar that feels more “real” than an online business, but that is merely a personal observation.) 2018 is set to offer new and fun business opportunities that I am excited to tell you more about in the upcoming months.
This is actually the first holiday season since 2012 where I wasn’t working on some big project, so I’ve really been enjoying the holidays with my family. I actually cooked my first turkey ever on Thanksgiving Day (and it turned out pretty good). That’s like the Super Bowl of cooking turkeys, so I’m glad that I didn’t burn it. We’ve been watching Christmas movies, putting up Christmas decorations, playing games, and just hanging out, and it has been refreshing. Sometimes, I need to be reminded of the refreshment found in slowing down during this time of year.
That’s about it for me. It’s hard to believe that there is only one month left in 2017. I hope that it has been a great year for you and yours, and that you have accomplished what you set your mind to and even more.
