Plain and simple.

Why is this so important?

Because the most important relationship you will ever have is with your spouse.

If leadership isn’t happening at home, then nothing else that I do or you do matters.

Leadership starts at home.

If leadership isn’t happening in certain areas of your life, the place to check is in your own selfishness. And yes, it is easy to slip into this and not even realize it. I don’t know about you, but this is a constant check for me.  I can get lazy if I’m not careful. And when it does, it stops being the other person’s fault and becomes yours then and only then is when things can start moving in the right direction.

Start working on it. Make things better than they are right now. There can always be room for  growth in relationships.

So, what is one thing you have done to strengthen your marriage over time?

  1. There are 3 C’s in marriage: communication, commitment, and compromise.  By working on those areas daily, our marriage has been a wonderful experience.  We’ve been together 36 years, growing our relationship upon those tenets day by day.

  3. Amen. I totally agree. I recently wrote a post titled strong marriage equals strong leader. If we can’t lead our home, then how are we going to lead others, right?:)
