i love blog designs that make me want to stay on the site for hours. of course the content is more important, but design is a huge deal. i love the design that crucialencountr came up for with for my blog, but I think I could change the design every week and be cool with it. that would be a ton of work.
as for blog designs that i like, i’m digging the design of http://iamscotthodge.com. i especially like the dead bird at the bottom. he’s got some great content as well.
plainjoestudios did a great job on his site. actually they do a lot of great stuff. Make sure to check them out, folks.
