You’re single.
You’re lonely.
You desire a relationship.
You want to share this life with someone.
You believe that a mate is going to solve your problems.
I am so sorry to tell you that being lonely and single has nothing to do with you being single.
I do know where you are. I was there. When I was there I battled depression, loneliness, coveting and selfishness, and maybe you do as well.
I find that most singles have an issue with singleness because they have not discovered the purpose of their singleness.
Being single is a gift. It’s a gift that will no longer be available to you once you are married.
It’s a gift that you currently take for granted.
Right now you have the ability to spend massive amounts of time roaming the city, travel, sleep over friend’s houses, budget your finances how you want, and invest in what you want without running these things by your spouse.
Singleness is a gift. It’s a gift you have to start appreciating. It’s a gift that continues to give you the ability to work on you.
It’s a gift that wants to teach you about you. It’s a gift that wants you to spend more time with the Lord and His Word.
It’s a gift I exhausted while single.
Walk with your head up high knowing that you are worth the wait and developing into the true authentic you while you wait in your singleness.
Be brave. Enjoy your singleness. Embrace the gift. Love being single.
