Memorial Day is the day we remember those who served our country and died while doing so. For some, the day comes and goes and not much thought goes into the significance. But for others, especially those who have lost a loved one, the day takes on a completely new meaning. It is more than a day off of school, or work. It is more than the opening of the pools for the summer, or the first real barbecue of the year. It’s a day to remember and to give a tribute.

Below is a video where a young boy has lost his father, and friends of his dad help the boy remember his dad in their own special way.

Enjoy the video and enjoy your Memorial Day!

  1. There is a cemetery here in town that has American flags on veterans plots and there are a ton of them. When I first saw it, it definitely hit me as something much more real than any other Memorial Day before. Later we will go to a lake and swim and have fun, but seeing all of those flags was definitely memorable. Thankful for the service of many that makes/made this country what it is.
