Most people think in terms of “arriving” in life at some magical moment and everything will become all better. Whether your concern is with your career, the size of your home, the year and model of your car, your social status or whatever else it may be, there will always be the next thing that you will try to make perfect in your own power. This may shock you, but those things will never be perfect. Sometimes we can focus so much on those things that it makes us constantly dwell on the future.
But, the question I want to focus on today is,
“What about right now?”
Your first step in this should be finding your passion in what you do right now.
When you do this, you will know what you are excited to accomplish in the future and also it will let you enjoy what you are doing now until you can move on to your next big thing.
Second of all, know what aspects make you the happiest. In this case, if we are talking about your career, what is that one thing that you can’t live without concerning your career? Now, find a way to do that one thing more often.
And last, be positive and thankful for where you are, no matter where that may be.
There is always something you can be thankful for. Hopefully it doesn’t take you too long to figure these things out, but once you do, write them down. Remind yourself of these things if you start to forget them.

Yes, your future is bright. But, what you are doing right now affects those around you right now. There has to be a balance on your view to the present versus the future. Be happy in this moment. You can make the best of where you are at right now. You control a lot of the things that make up the perspective that you have.
