Leaders inspire people.
I tweeted this the other day after being challenged about this from someone else.
He really got me thinking.
Am I inspiring people every day?
Who am I inspiring?
How can I inspire others?
As you probably want to do, I want to make the most of each and every day.
So, within my daily routine I am now looking for ways to inspire others.
I’m still working on the way this will look. I am cautious to say that all inspiration is intentionally done. I would almost say the opposite.
This view is just from my experience.
When others have inspired me, they had already weaved the inspiration into their lives. Whether it be the parent or friend they had become, the awards or recognition they had recieved or the many lives they had changed without even knowing.
But, maybe since most other things are done intentionally, inspiring can be another one of those things.
Seriously, how do you inspire?

I can’t say that I have ever actually inspired someone, but I do know that those who inspired me (many of whom will likely NEVER even know it) were people who did what they were called to do with a heart of Love and Sacrifice. I am not sure that inspiration is something to be done intentionally. I think that a person’s character, purpose, and spirit all coalesce into what eventually inspires others. I suppose it would be safer to say that you would live each day with as good a heart and purpose as possible and the inspiration will take care of itself. However, I absolutely agree that leaders inspire people, not always for the better, but they do inspire thoughts, emotions, and ultimately actions from those they come in contact with.

Great post. I’ve been reading Joel Runyon’s Blog of Impossible Things: http://www.joelrunyon.com Joel makes the same encouragement. Also, Hugh MacLeod’s blog: gapingvoid.com. I’ve been thinking about how important it is to live generously. Thanks for this post!
