I’ve spoken a lot about how important creativity can be in your life. Whether it’s coming up with a great business idea, or just how to best organize your kitchen, I’m always touting the impact that a creative outlook can have.

Not all tasks are created equal, though. Some parts of our lives are more important than others. It’s easy to point out the kitchen example, but maybe reorganizing your kitchen isn’t that high on your to-do list, as there are plenty of other things much more important.

So instead of picking and choosing, let’s dive into how creativity can impact the most important areas of your life.

Health

Our health is by far the most important part of our lives. With poor health, everything else becomes much more difficult. Adding creativity to your approach of living a healthy lifestyle may include finding new ways to eat healthy on a budget, exercising with minimal free time, managing your time to reduce stress, and a number of other possibilities.

Relationships

The people we spend the most time with help shape the way we view ourselves and the rest of the world. Whether it’s through their support or the conversations you have with them, it’s these relationships that will guide the rest of your life. Creative ways to connect, maintain, and grow these relationships will provide you with endless support, resources, and amusement.

Finances

Money really does have a profound impact on how you live your life. However you choose to manage your money is entirely up to you, but coming up with creative ways to spend and save can help you reach the goals you’ve put in place.

Career

We spend the majority of our waking hours working in our career. Our careers can energize us, helping us to find purpose in life. Or they can drain us, sapping all of our time, energy, motivation, and patience. Finding the perfect career match might take some creative thinking, but it’s what will keep you from falling into a career path that neither fulfills you or keeps you engaged. You must also evaluate yourself – the areas you are good and those that needs improvement. And before you find your perfect career, maybe a good place to start is with university? If that seems like a good route for you, I hear that Excelsia college is a great option.

Religion

Religion isn’t a large part of life for everyone, but for whom it is, religion is a huge part of their lives. How followers relate to the religion they follow can take many forms, but it’s important not to take too much for granted and to continuously seek out new ways to connect with their belief system. What might have connected with someone in the beginning of their journey may no longer elicit that same connection later on.

Wherever you stand in life, these areas can be improved upon in creative ways. It is creativity that has moved me through life in search of healthy living guidelines, great and rewarding friendships, financial resilience through hardships, career changes, and religious growth. If you’ve found that any of these areas (and possibly others) are lacking, developing a strategy plan for what to attack first and when can be a great first step to living a life of more impact.
