Have you ever felt too drained to get through your day? Ever wanted to get more done? Are you just sick and tired of being tired all of the time? I don’t talk about health too often on my blog, but it is something that is important because it affects every part of life.
Well, you can stop thinking about it and start doing something about it.
Here are 3 reasons to get back on track and recommit yourself to being healthy again:
1. Realize that today is the best day to start.
Stop beating yourself up over not starting yesterday and stop saying that you will get serious about it tomorrow. Today is the day.
2. You will feel better.
Statistics tell us that people who people who exercise are happier, suffer less stress and are more productive.
3. Increased productivity.
Research shows that healthy eating and exercise are linked with productivity.
Whether you had a New Year’s resolution to being healthy this year, have been thinking about being healthy for a long time or just are tired of where you are at, you can use these three reasons to propel you towards actually starting instead of just talking about it.
But, where do you start?
Here are three action steps to start moving in the right direction:
1. Exercise works better as one of your “firsts”.
It is is one of those things that won’t get done if you don’t make it a priority. You have to decide what is important to you and make it important. Plain and simple, if it isn’t really important to you, it won’t get done.
2. Set yourself up for success upfront.
The main reason that people stop going after their goals is the lack of instant results. Stop this trend by giving yourself gradual, realistic goals with a deadline and set yourself up for success.
3. Make smarter decisions.
Take supplements, eat better and exercise.
Realize the importance of these actions and fall back in love with being healthier again.
I remember someone telling me a simple but life-changing phrase… “Just do right.” Why is that so hard when we are fighting our own selfish desires? Using that simple phrase in your own life can break your old habits when you follow it. Begin by first realizing the importance of your health and then implementing these actions. Use the above steps starting today to become a better leader by changing your perspective and increasing your focus and clarity.
Stop giving yourself reasons to be disappointed. It’s time to get serious about your health.

Somewhere along the line women have fallen victim to taking care of everyone else except themselves. I am a part time fitness instructor and I am constantly reminding people of the flight attendant instructions. “Please secure your oxygen mask before helping others”. If we aren’t taking care of our health, we might be around to do all the wonderful things and people we care for.

I really love that analogy of securing your oxygen mask. It is so true and makes you think! Thanks for sharing that!
