There’s the people that go to church because they feel that they have to.
There’s the people that go for the community.
There’s the people that go because they hold a “big position” in the church.
Whatever it may be…
Why do you go to church?

Don’t want to sound technical, but…nnCan anybody go to church? We are the church, whether it’s in a sanctuary, a house, a car or even at a ball game. It’s all about loving others and loving God.

I go for renewal. There is something amazing about being surrounded by people singing out and praising God along with you. Something about feeling the spirit moving through that space and those people that lifts me up and can really restore me for the week ahead. This last year while my husband was in Afghanistan, it was also about the only time I managed to take a break from the kids and my other responsibilities at the same time. I guess for some people that would label me as a bad mom, as a bad Christian because I am attending church at times for selfish reasons. I don’t see it that way. God says to come tou00a0Him in our weakness, He says he will be there when we need Him. Well, there were a lot of times I needed Him this year and sometimesu00a0I found Him there.

I like what BrianW1979 said. I don’t go to church, I live it out on a daily basis. It’s like being a part of a family, you don’t stop being your mother’s child just because you’re not around them. Meeting up with my church is an aspect of that, where we encourage one another to good deeds.
