No matter what you do, there has been a point somewhere along the way that motivation stopped coming. The ideas came to a stand still and you tried everything to get it back.

If you are a writer there is a time that the ideas just weren’t flowing as much. Either you stumbled by this blog because you write or you like to read blogs. Whether you work a job or stay at home, you need refreshment every once and awhile.

No matter what you do, here are 5 ways to get the flow coming again…

1. Go back to the start. How did the flow start in the first place?

2. Be honest with yourself. How much are you really putting in now versus what you know you can put in?

3. Change your surroundings, either before, during or after work. A change of scenery can sometimes snap you out of a funk.

4.Talk about it with someone who is in the same field of work as you. They probably have experienced the same things in the past and would have good insight.

5. Take care of yourself. This sounds so simple, but sleep, eating right and exercise will increase productivity.

These are just a few ways to get things flowing again and gaining confidence in what you do.

So, what do you do when you lose your flow?
