It is a question that all of us have asked God or have asked advice from others on at some point in our life.
Sometimes you just need direction.
Or you felt stuck.
Or in a rut.
Or didn’t know the next step to take.
Or had way too many options.
Or tired of the way things were going.
Or needed approval.
Or you might be in this spot right now.
No matter if you are there as we speak, have been there before or might be there in the future, there are three things that you can always be doing while making huge decisions.
1. Don’t settle.
Don’t stop moving forward. If this means that you have decided that you want to stick with what you are doing, find those key things that drive you and focus on those. Find ways to delegate those things that aren’t your strengths and focus on becoming great at those few things that motivate you.
If you have decided to move on, then great! This is a momentum changing time in your life. Moving in the direction of change takes a lot of thoughtful consideration. On one hand, your career doesn’t define who you are, but you might as well be happy with the thing that takes up a lot of your time everyday, right?
In most cases you can find happiness in whatever you do, but sometimes you will find that a change is needed…
2. Be open to possibilities outside of your comfort zone.
Starting over can be one of the biggest steps out of your comfort zone that you can take. I don’t know many people who wouldn’t be scared to make a huge move, but it can be very rewarding. Know what you want and go for it.
If you don’t go for it now, will you regret that you didn’t take your chances?
Remember, it is never too late to make a big change.
3. Seek wise counsel every step of the way.
If you know other people who have made a difficult decision similar to the one that you are about to make, ask them what they went through. You will need to know who it affected, how it affected them and how it was handled by everyone involved. This can be important to know what to expect and how to counter those things as best as possible.
Doing these three things move you closer to your goal rather than finding yourself at a stand still. Trust me, your answer will eventually come. Even if you feel that things aren’t moving in this moment, then that just means things are being created for you to happen in the near future. Something is coming even if it can’t be seen right now. Today is a great time to start preparing.
So, where are you at? Are you still searching or are you confident right where you are at?

Great thoughts and points. I’m doing my best at getting outside of my comfort zones and moving toward doing great things, being lead by God of course.
