I can’t tell you what success is, because only you can define that. But there are three major indicators that you should look for along the way: fulfillment, happiness, and influence. Fulfillment is when you find a satisfaction with the life you are living, happiness is the result of fulfillment, and influence is the result of finding your version of success so you can then go and impact other people. If what you are doing causes these three things to happen, then your version of success is most likely nearby.
37 years in my career, because of those 3 indicators. Although internal to each person, I believe management can cultivate environments that stimulate employee fulfillment and influence, which leads to a greater happiness. Good word, Adam.
