iTunes is definitely my one-stop-shop for music these days and it’s probably yours, too.

It’s just so easy. Being able to get a CD at 12:01 the day an album comes out instead of going out to get it is just spectacular. With iTunes you don’t have to worry about scratches on CD’s, either.

I guess the only perks to getting a physical album is the physical album artwork and maybe some sound quality.

It’s actually been years since I’ve walked into a store to buy a CD.

So, when is the last time you walked into a physical store to buy music?

  1. I haven’t bought a CD in years either. When someone gives me one, I’m thinking, what am I supposed to do with this? Rip?! Is that what we used to do?

I actually get a lot of music with Rhapsody to Go. I can stream and download music on my computer and iPhone.

As a musician, I miss the musician credits in the liner notes — who played what songs, what instruments featured. For a while, some iTunes downloads featured a PDF with this stuff. Would seem easy enough.

  2. Well see..I haven’t actually bought any music in a very long time. My mom is the head of the music department at a local bookstore, so most of my music comes in the form of demos and pre-releases, all for free. It’s kind of a nice deal. I listen to new bands in exchange for free music.

  3. Actually, I bought the new Charlie Hall CD, The Rising…probably partly because I am friends with the drummer, but still, there ya go.

  4. BROOKE FRASER’S NEW ALBUM, FLAGS, WAS RELEASED YESTERDAY!!
And I am so so so excited! But it’s going to take forever to be available in-store here in SA, so ordering online…
Last album I bought in-store was Paramore’s “Brand New Eyes”. It was on sale. *score*

  5. I’m always on the watch for when Lifeway or Family Christian Bookstore are having the monthly cd sales. You can get cds for usually as low as $5. And I receive free new music through FreeCCM.com and Hearitfirst.com so I may download something through Itunes if something has caught my interest and I can’t wait and I just want the track or two typically.
