seasons

Today is the official start of fall, but this post really isn’t about the “winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call” seasons.

Today I’m talking about the seasons of life.

You know…

There’s a period of time where everything is going great. These are the amazing times. I love to dwell on these times, but who am I kidding?

There ARE times where everything is “ok” and life is bearable and then there are those times where quite frankly,

life just sucks.

Nothing goes right and things couldn’t get much worse. You don’t know where to turn. You lose your job, you lose your spouse, you lose your child, you lose your house, or something else out there that is just awful.

Some of those things listed haven’t even happened to us and we think being late to work or bad traffic makes our day the worst day ever. I dare you to tell someone who lost their job, that you running late to work constitutes as the worst day ever. Try it and let me know how that goes.

Of course, if a terrible thing happens to you early in the day your day can only get better. 😉

So, today I just want to encourage you, if you’re stuck in what is the most difficult circumstances in life you’ve ever seen, keep pushing on. Share what’s going on so we can pray, stand together, talk or whatever else you need.

What season are you in?

Pete Wilson’s book “Plan B” – http://www.planbbook.com/ gave me the idea for this post. A lot of times I want to just focus on the positive things of life, but bad things do happen sometimes. Know they happen, don’t dwell on them, but be prepared. If you haven’t picked up “Plan B” yet, do it today!

Season of painful growth, trying to make right choices. Dying to the flesh because the blessings of God are just waiting for me if I can just say no to that fruit that the serpent has made look so good.

Of course I am not glad that others are sharing this season of, well lets just say “going through’ but I don’t believe in coincidences. Found this link and grateful to be reminded that this too shall pass. Holding on, indeed!
