Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, you probably have found the need to find the right way to communicate with those around you. So you may be asking, “What is the right way?”
For introverts, the main question usually is,
“How do I get in front of a group of people and share what I need to communicate effectively?”
For extroverts the question may be more like,
“How do I not overpower others to be able to respond in a small group setting?”
If these sound like the questions you have been asking lately,
the answer is Practice.
For introverts or extroverts, to become better at speaking in front of crowds, you have to practice speaking more. To become a better communicator in smaller settings, you need to practice listening. Yes, that’s right. To become a better communicator, you need to become a better listener.
Know what your audience needs to hear, and provide your best answer based on your knowledge of the subject. If you don’t have an answer, allow others to share and learn from those around you.
Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, you matter to the conversation. Find the way you are comfortable communicating with and start sharing today.
