As much as you want there to be an immediate return on investment, you won’t always be able to see one. Many times, business decisions will be made on whether there will be an immediate financial return or not, but often it can be years before a return of any kind will be seen. And many times with relationships, making deposits of kindness won’t see an immediate return, but being kind is always the best answer, whether kindness is reciprocated or not. Often, it takes time for people to warm up to one another before a natural relationship can begin being developed.

The lesson with returns is to always do the right thing, whether there is an immediate return on investment or not, and then trust that doing the right thing will eventually give back to you.
