One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him.
John 13:23

I’ve read this verse before, but it never has fully sunk in, until now. This verse is of course talking about the disciple, John… and John of course wrote this verse.

It’s not that Jesus didn’t love the other disciples, but it’s that John knew He was loved. He believed it.

John fully embraced the love of the Father.

Here is your beginning of the week reminder:

No matter what you are going through now or what you have done in the past, Rest in knowing of His love for you.

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
Romans 5:17
