Ever been around someone that is just negative all the time? They think negative, speak negative and they end up depressing everyone else around them.
It’s pretty annoying isn’t it?
These folks talk about how terrible their job is, how bad their marriage is and how their life sucks.
It’s not only annoying, but life draining.
Hopefully this person isn’t you, but if it is you just have to count your blessings instead of counting everything bad that is going on in life.
Please don’t tell me who those people are, even if it is you. But, now think about people who you hang around that speak positive things all the time. Your time with them is probably much different.
You most likely encourage one another, give life to each person’s huge dreams and think along the same way.
Time with each other is productive and uplifting.
One of my favorite easy read books is The 4:8 Principle by Tommy Newberry.
It’s based on Philippians 4:8 which says:
Finally, brethren,
whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virtue and
if there is anything praiseworthy—
Meditate on these things.
Let’s start now. What’s one thing you’ve been blessed with. Trust me, there’s something.
