today

Today brought me a beautiful surprise. It took me back a little. Surprises keep me on my toes. Those subtle things that in an instance take me from sad to glad, or the other way around. It wasn’t luck, but it was fate. My thanks is nothing in the grand scheme of things, but somehow it matters. And then I remember this is just TODAY and there’s an even better tomorrow. The beautiful surprise I experienced today was getting the privilege to talk to a stranger who just needed someone to listen.
