You no longer have any excuses for not using social media as a part of your business.
I had a great basketball coach in college. He was a strict, military-like instructor, but he had very few rules. In fact, he really only had one maxim that governed our entire team, both on and off the court. That rule was: No Excuses.
Late for practice because your car ran out of gas? You should have been on time. You’re not practicing. No excuses
The ref missed a call? Go strong to the hoop. Finish anyway. No excuses.
Falling behind in class because you don’t have time to study? Better get a tutor. Better study all weekend. No excuses.
We’ve reached a point where we can reasonably say that there are no excuses for one to be oblivious to social media. We’ve also reached the point where it would be ridiculous to doubt the effectiveness of social media.
Companies are driving leads via their social media efforts every day. More and more are adopting it into their social media strategies, every day. Social media marketing teams are getting bigger and bigger budgets and revenue is growing along with the trend.
So, you know what it is, and you know that it works. So, why aren’t you putting everything you have into making it work for you? No excuses.
Don’t have a strategy? Read this blog. No excuses.
Don’t have an existing community? No one does at the beginning. It takes time. No excuses.
Are you using social media to its full effectiveness? Are you making excuses in your own life and for your own business? You may think that you have valid reasons and not excuses, but trust me when I say your potential customers that are going to the other guy don’t care. No excuses.
